Why is it that old people get long vacations, fast cars, and nice houses? Shouldn't young people be the one's enjoying those things, if not everyone?

Do they? Many old people I know have to decide between medicine and food. Or paying bills and food. Or between the three of them.

I gotta say I completely agree, nothing looks more stupid than an old man riding some 200mph capable japanese superbike, or a 606hp mercedes that he's afraid to even drive. Thats why I bought both before i turned 30! =P dont work for other people, be self employed and make yourself rich, I did. As for the work hard and you'll see babble, well its just that, babble. I mean good for them, those who did it, but count me out. I wanna do it now, not later.

A friend of mine, who had reached the stage where his children had grown up and left home, and who was very comfortably off was reflecting about how little money he had when he was younger. He said people should start on the top rate of pay and gradually reach the lowest rate of pay just before retirement.

Ahhh the curse of old age, old people earned all of these things, but now their too old to appriecate them! Thats where nice grandparents come from :)

coz young ones spend most of their time on working to acquire those things...............only that when they have done they are already old

Never had a car when I was young, I was a biker. Fast bikes where what I lived for but I agree, young people should have these things (cars etc) while they can enjoy them. As for houses? Well if there were more (nice) social houses then everyone could have one.

It's generally because being retired they have the time for long vacations. Also, they were the old people who were smart as young people to save so they could have a happy and successful retirement with a good chunk of cash to enjoy it with.
