Why did YOU choose to go into the medical field?

If you were going to choose a personal trainer to go to for a fitness consultation, what would you look for in that trainer? Is what they look like important? How many years' experience? Nutrition advice included? College degree in field? Etc.?

  • Answer:

    look at experience and track record. ask if they have any refernces from clients to see what results have been acheived by others that have worked with them. Of course this isn't the same for a trainer who is at the start of thier career, you would then maybe look at what other experience they have had and how well they performed at school.

I could care less what they look like, what school they went to or what advice they give. I want to see their results. Show me what they've done with people. Give me some before and afters. Go with whose got the best results.

I would choose a PT who is functional, i.e. someone who practices what he/she preaches. Yes, their looks do count a lot. Say you want to bulk up with lean muscles and lose fat, a PT who is at least an amateur body builder and who has won medals at competitions would be a good choice. College degrees and years of experience do count, but they are of secondary importance.
