How can I delete my friends in my friend list?

Can people tell if you delete them from your friend's list? (Not that I'm trying. I'm actually trying to make friends)

    Take my advice...having people on your friends list has absolutely nothing to do with having friends. Stick around, answer questions, ask them, comment on other peoples answers, strike up conversations and get to know people and you'll suddenly realize you have friends. Wowza.

Well your avatar will disappear from their Friend's List, so in that way, they would be able to tell. But, most people have quite a few friend's so it's difficult to notice when one goes. However they don't receive any formal notification, no.

Yeah. If they went through their friend's list and noticed you weren't there. I don't think that's too likely though. Actually, I've noticed before, because I've answered a question and it wasn't in my friend's questions list thingy. Ah well.

They would have to go through their friend's list and notice that you're not there anymore.

I dont think so. If somebody's being a pill and you don't want him for a friend any more, then delete him and tell him why.
