Do you prefer your coffee/tea in a styrofoam cup, paper cup, or glass or ceramic mug? Do you think it makes a difference in taste?

My mug from mexico is my favorite, I warm up the ceramic with hot water then add my coffee and it stays hot for a while. Something about hot coffee against that smooth glazed ceramic edge.

I need a mug, and not just any mug, it always tastes best in my favorite mug.

I will drink coffee anytime, anyplace, in most anything. The taste of the coffee is more about the coffee maker or coffee then the cup.

Styrofoam is the worst. Ceramic is mediocre. Paper with a plastic Solo lid is tops. I don't know what it is about styrofoam, but I always feel less satisfied with my coffee. It is almost like an aftertaste is present...I'm just not sure, but definitely I feel something is off. Right now I am drinking my favorite coffee from styrofoam, and I feel like my nose is stuffy, like having a slight allergy. I once went to a new coffee house to give a good try, and when they gave me my coffee in a styrofoam cup, I crossed them off my mental list of places to get coffee. (What were they thinking!!)

Yep, styrofoam or paper tastes barfy. I can drink cola out of a paper cup, though, but out of a can tastes metallic to me.
