In Windows XP on the Start Menu, you have Pinned items like Internet Explorer and Outlook, and Un-Pinned items below that which show recently used programs. Something happened and now recently used programs don't show. How do I get them back?

Bring up your start menu. Right click in the area where those icons should be. Select "properties". Go to "start menu", then "customize". Under the "programs" heading, make sure you have a number other than zero showing. That's about all I can offer you! good luck!
