Are you like me? Do you have the bad habit of going to bed very late (2,3 a.m) in order to squeeze in as much leisure time as possible because the day seems too short to do everything you want? How can I break this bad habit?

I'm the same way. And I cannot figure out a way to break it. For me, it's a cycle at night of sleeping about 2 hours, waking up for 2 hours, etc. But being awake all day. And I personally avoid any drug.

Yes, I am like you. I'm answering your question at 3:20 a.m.! I don't know how to break the habit either, except to tell you that you should never try caffeine. I got so addicted to the stuff that I drank 20 cups of coffee a day and it took me years to break the addiction.

Keep reminding yourself that if you aren't so darn exhausted all the time the responsibilities in your life won't seem so stressful and draining.

So you want to go to bed and sleep earlier? do more exercise during your day.. go for a long jog, workout on a punch bag or play an energetic sport for a long time. That should make your body tired enough to want to go to sleep.

Yes! Try taking a long hot bath with candles hours before you start to consider going to bed. No music, just total silence for at least 30 minutes. This really helps me rejuvinate and get back to my normal senses after a hard day at work. Then get in bed with a good book and you'll be asleep in no time. Make sure you don't put things off till the last minute or you'll find an excuse to stay awake longer. I know I do.

I have been the same, and its a viscious circle, what i have been doing now is, when i wake up early i stay up, dont nap during the day or after work, that really does mess your sleep clock up, then try and get into bed early to start unwinding properly, get comfy, and chill, let your body and mind wind down properly, soft lighting, but you have to be strict with yourself.
