How does one officially create a non-profit organization?

How does one create a strong Socialized Medicine lobby to the the government.Would a non profit organization that receives enough funds ,that has more money within it ,then the Private medical lobby has, be able to sway the powers that be?

    There are too many bad examples in the world of socialized medicine which will make swaying a capitalist society quite difficult. I just read an article today about how so many Brits are coming to America to have surgeries done, etc., because they don't want to wait in England or they found that the private practitioners here are more motivated to do quality work. Swaying public opinion inthe US I thinkn is a waste of time. it won't happen. Socialism is not the answer to anything, and most Americans know that.

Any one's money will sway the powers that be. However, any system that becomes socialized loses its incentive to excel. Mediocrity then prevails. Good service of any type doesn't come cheaply, and especailly not freely.
