How do i reset the family settings pass code on my Xbox 360 Console?

    Reposted from tacotias17 above: Start by going to the SYSTEM tab and select CONSOLE SETTINGS. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and select SYSTEM INFO. When you open up this screen, just hit these buttons in this order: LEFT TRIGGER, RIGHT TRIGGER, X, Y, LEFT BUMPER, RIGHT BUMPER I called tech support and the above is correct but incomplete. She had us take the harddrive off turn console off and turn it back on then follow above instructions then press: LEFT TRIGGER, RIGHT TRIGGER, X, Y, LEFT BUMPER, RIGHT BUMPER,... X,X, UP, DOWN. Then it went to a yes or no question asking to reset factory settings. Choose yes.

thanks for the help the firs answer fork for me but he forget to tel the last botton must push that botton is A and no nesseseery for press X before pressing the Directions pad LT,RT,X,Y,LB,RB,left,right,left,A

Well after a long and frustrating talk with the challenged customer service workers, I've found how to reset the pass code if you don't know the original one or the answer to the random question that was set. Start by going to the SYSTEM tab and select CONSOLE SETTINGS. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and select SYSTEM INFO. When you open up this screen, just hit these buttons in this order: LEFT TRIGGER, RIGHT TRIGGER, X, Y, LEFT BUMPER, RIGHT BUMPER If it doesn't work right away, just try it again. A screen should pop up asking you if you would like to reset the settings. This won't delete your profile or anything so select YES. The XBOX will restart itself and it will then ask for the language and country again. Next it will ask for info on the pass code. Choose the rating you want the code for and then input your new code. Hopefully you found this helpful.

apparently your serial number codes for the password that is needed to reset to factory defaults. If people would post their serial number along with their passcode (must be obtained by calling sbox customer support), we culd determine which button codes for which number in your serial number. If u can get 3 or 4 friends to set a family passcode on their xbox and call support to get the password to reset to factory defaults, then you could figure out all nine digits's coded buttons.

i just called ms today and found out how to do it the first thing to do is go to the system tab slect console settings go down to system info click on it then press this in order Lt RT X then Y LB RB X then press the directional pad left right left you will then see a screen to reset your settings hope this works
