  • Answer:

Get a Xanax before the road test, I hear it calms your nerves.

Keep visualizing yourself in a state of calm while in that situation. When the time comes to take the test, you should automatically go into that state of calmness.

Jeez, I got a perfect score on the first try. The only thing you can do which you probablt have already figured out is to practice as much as you can and get the biggest asshole to be a pretend person who is testing you.

I know how you feel. I have always been shaky about driving, especially after some dork in a Burlington Coat Factory parking lot took off the front end of my car. I would suggest just sitting in the car and breathing calmly. Do this until you feel good about it. Then, just move around your driveway. Do that until you are confident. Have a friend take you to a cemetery or small suburban area and go ten miles an hour until you're okay with that. Keep your car quiet and noise free. focus on what you're doing, and focus on controlling your panic response. I actually pray most of the time I'm in the car. That has helped me significantly. Good luck!
