What is the difference between primary and secondary growth in plants?

Does using purified water to water your plants make any difference in the health and growth of the plant? My friend does this and I am rather confused. I always used regular water from the hose and my plants grew fine.

  • Answer:

If yu can avoid the fluoride and chlorine bleach in the water that would be great. What's really nice is to use cooking water. If you used some to steam some veggies or cook pasta, let it cool and give that to your plant. Just don't give them broccoli water because it smells! lol!! If you cook potatoes, that's really good water. A lot of the minerals and such from the potatoes goes into the water:-)
