What are some of the highest paying jobs in medicine?

I am changing jobs and consequently health care providers. I take very expensive medicine for Psoriatic Arthritis. Because this is a pre-existing condition will I be denied coverage and end up paying for medicine myself?

  • Answer:

As long as you do not have any lapse in coverage a pre-existing condition should be covered.. If there is going to be a waiting period at your new job before you can join the plan there, check with your current employer about COBRA (Continuation of benefits act). This will allow you to continue your current plan until the new one goes into effect. You will have to pay for the entire cost, employer and employee shares, but the key is NO LAPSE IN COVERAGE. Even a one day lapse is sufficient to deny coverage for a pre-existing condition.
