For anyone still awake: I'm pulling an all nighter ( I have to right a 5 page paper that I did some serious procrastinating on) How would you recommend I make it through my full day of school and work tomorrow? Energy drinks, coffee, what else?

Answer:
Peanut butter on whole wheat with a glass of milk. You need protein to keep your blood sugar balanced. I would stay away from sweets and limit the coffee intake.

Caffeine can make you jumpy especially if you aren't used to it. Energy drinks are really bad for you as well because they can speed up your heart and cause palpitations or seizures. I work in a cafe in the library of my university. I recommend things that are minty or things like orange juice. If you must go caffeine, drink some green tea or caffeinated mint tea. The problem I see is that kids are so hyped up about an all-nighter that they OD on caffeine. Then they can't sit still. Keep yourself hydrated if you do decide to drink an energy drink or any other caffeine drink. Drinking cold water or bubbly soda alone has helped me through many all-nighters.

Altoids, mint gum (chew on the right side, it will keep your left brain active and thus help keep you awake). When you feel like you are falling asleep hold you breath for as long as you can stand it, then take a deep breath...the influx of oxygen to your brain will act as a temporary stimulant.

mix in a shot glass some lemon juice, peppermint liqueur, sugar, and some angostura bitters. then bolt it, that'll wake you up. then go to the bathroom, splash some water on your face, and jump up and down whilst screaming at the mirror for 15 seconds. guarenteed

First and foremost, GET OFF AB AND WRITE YOUR PAPER! Now, tomorrow? Do the best you can. Coffee, Caffeinated Coca Cola, Mountain Dew, etc. Every time you feel yourself "slipping away", do some type of exercise... Get up and walk if you can...

Take a walk every couple of hours tomorrow. Keep moving. Itll be hard, but it will keep you awake and a bit more refreshed... Dont rely on coffee and energy drinks, because the fall after the caffiene wears off..isnt worth it. Best of luck!! ~+~

3/4 Mountain Dew and 1/4 Orange Bang. Sunny delight works, if you cannot find the bang. convince stores typically have it with the fountain drinks.
