Why can't people talk to me on MSN?

I was just wondering, why do some guys only talk to me on msn and then in person they cant say much. Many people have said im pretty but i dont thhink im that great... also when i pass a guy walking buy most times they will look down or away from me..why?

    They may be avoiding looking at you because they may think if you see them looking at you, you'll think they are a creep. For the online vs in person thing. Online, its easier to compose your thought because you don't have someone looking at you and waiting for you to respond. So in person they'll be thinking what do I say, what do I not say, how do I say it. Instead of attempting to deal with all of those "what if's" its easier to just make small talk, or less. Like Einstein (I think) said, "Better to not speak and have people think your a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt"

well its much easyer to talk and ask questions to someone you don't know over the internet then it is in person. if alot of people say you look pretty then it must be true, and the reason they look away is that you caught them looking at you, i know im the same way some times ill look away if a cute girl caught me looking at her.
