How should I fix my surf board?

My old amd k6-2 400mhz,512mb ram is freezing when i play music and try to surf..Could this be a corrupted registry? or is it just not enough ram..It is at max for mother board..Any tips to fix it?

  Mmm, I suggest you do one, or the other! I might be wrong, but I seem to remember the K6 was AMDs response to the Intel Celeron, fairly lightweight on performance. I also remember that the K6-2 was reported to have serious floating-point problems, which won't help. 512Mb of RAM should be ample.. if you are playing music from a CD then make sure the audio cable is connected between your CD Drive and the audio card - analogue direct transfer has much less overhead than digital audio extraction. If you're playing MP3's, and your PC does one or the other but not both at once, then it's time to upgrade! Dell do some excellent deals, especially if you have a corporate buyer friend.. :)
