Have you ever had fry bread? While making bread tonight we saved some and made fry bread just like my grandma used to do it.

I live in Canada but I like to do the English thing of frying bread in the bacon grease after you have made bacon and eggs. It is the beat thing. Nothing like a little cholesterol!! LOL I just don't do it too often.

Now I'm an oldy so YES I do now about fried bread . Here in England we have it with bacon,eggs and tomatoes. As so as the bacon is out of the frying pan put the bread in which will soak up the remaining of the fat, then turn it over for it to get crispy on the other side. AS we all know it isn't a healthy thing to have too often but once in a while doesn't do any harm PS Sorry forgot to click on the point system -I will try to remember next time

No I haven't sounds like a lot of oil would be soaked up,But I been use to fried potatoes,so it's likely no different.

Yep. Many times. We always have it at fairs and stuff in Alaska, so I've made it at home a few times too. Just for like a special something. I have it once, maybe twice a year.

If you soak the bread in egg first, then fry it, it's delicious, and calld eggy bread:D
