How old do you have to be to work for FEMA?

I live in Chattanooga, TN and I know a a 85 yo gentleman who lives in a lean-to shack and has one electric outlet and no running water. Is their any orginization that could help? Or would a surplus FEMA trailer work? If so where can I purchase one?

It was on the News not to long ago that Fema had to give up many of there trailers; during Katrina; all I can offer is that you write to FEMA or contact on line and ask the status of this situation. If you write-it may take a long time for a reply / red tape. In another area: Some states put these old people in Nursing Homes and take away there freedom saying its best for them-never to return. I know a older woman this happened too and shes miserable today. So be quiet and careful when you help someone out. In another area--When I was about 12; my parents learned about a 90 yr. old single man who was living without water use and winter was on its way. My parents took him in to our house and in about a year he was a long lost uncle to our family. We learned he had an degree to Columbia so it added to our education. In another area--You could form your own grassroots Group thru your Church or School to raise money and also help special older Americans survive with decent living conditions. All these ideas are now yours to do with whatever you see fit. take care
