My PSP suddenly turned off?

My psp X button suddenly stopped working even after i restart the psp. In addition, the screen could no longer be turned on after being switched off by holding the screen button. Also, i can't select anything from the recovery menu.

    Take it apart the button is most likely not touching the board right ,,, You'll have to reset the position of the button. Or something fried out. In that case throw it out. Never buy Sony Products until they get the kinks out. They always have problems the first year or 2 when they have a knew product.

Have you tried removing the batteries and leaving them out for a few minutes? You could try that, and then put them back in. It needs the power source removed so that the electronics can discharge and reset. Also, with the batteries out, you can try holding down the power button, or some other button if it has a power switch.
