Who here has Vonage? What do you think about it? And what is the billing like? Is it really unlimited local and long distance for $24.99/month? Are there tons of hidden fees?

Answer:
I had Vonage for a couple of years, the service worked fine. However... it was a NIGHTMARE to get the service disconnected. They did every sort of manipulative and underhanded thing one could imagine to prevent me from closing my account, including continuing to charge my credit card months after I repeatedly was told on the phone that it would be cancelled. Then, they refused to refund the excessive chages, claiming I hadn't cancelled the service. By the time I was done wrestling with them, I was ready to hire a hit man. They were absolutely without conscience of any kind. So it's a mixed review.
