Playstation 3 or xbox 360 or both? which do you prefer?

Ps3, it doesnt crash every 5 seconds. I have both, and hate the x360.

360. Better controller, better games.

This isn't a question which has an easy answer. I own both machines. From a technology standpoint, the PS3 is a more well-constructed console. It's quieter, more stable, and a bit more 'future-proof' than the 360 is, because theoretically the hardware will be capable of producing better games in the future. It also has the added advantage of a Blu-Ray drive, which allows the viewing of HD movies on Blu-Ray, which is the format which has more or less won the 'format war' between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. The PS3's only real drawback at this point is the lack of a wide selection of good games. There's some great stuff in the pipeline for the PS3 gamewise, but for now, the pickins are slim. The 360's main advantage is that it has, right now, the best selection of games to play. It's a relatively solid machine-- I've got a launch unit (meaning I bought one when they first became available for purchase), and mine still works with only a few hiccups here and there, but the failure rate on the 360 is famously high-- it has the highest percentage of failed units of any videogame console to date. Additionally, the only HD movie format available for the 360 owner is HD-DVD, which requires an additionally-purchased HD-DVD player peripheral, and which plays the HD-DVD discs, which are a dying format. The 360 is louder and a bit clunkier than the PS3, but if your main concern is playing lots of games right now, the 360 is where you want to spend your money. If you're more concerned with both playing games and watching HD movies, and you're willing to wait a bit for a more expansive game library, go with the PS3.

Xbox 360. The 360 I bought is the best games console I have ever had. Also after the way Sony shafted the European market again, I don't think I will ever buy another console of theirs.
