Why do my PC games shut down?

I play video games, Specifically World of Warcraft. Lately when playing a loud humming noise starts emanating from my PC. Sounds like a bi-plane about to take off. Doesn't affect game play at all. Just the annoying noise. I shut the games down it stops.

    as long as you don't hear it any other time its probably in the game, but check and see if you hear it in any other way or time. if so, when is the last time you cleaned the inside of your case for dust and dirt, as the build up on fans can cause them to make a sound like what you are discribeing also, which can led to overheating of powersuplly and CPU.

first you've to check if world of warcraft sound system causes it. to do so, in the game options disable the sound. if the sound stops then enable the sound again but turn off voice chat
