I want to connect my camcorder to my computer. It is an older one...uses RCA cables. What kind of hardware/software do I need for my computer (VISTA platform) so I can play/record my videos?

Answer:
I'm not sure how Vista complicates the situation, but the device I usually recommend is Pinnacle's Dazzle. It connects to the PC via USB and will receive RCA or S-Video connectors for analog video. According to Pinnacle's web site, all of the currently available Dazzle products will work under Vista after patching. The Dazzle DVD Recorder retails for $70, but if there's still a CompUSA open in your area, check to see if they have one; it'll be marked down significantly thanks to their closing sales.
