How soon should you change the timing belt on a 1998 4 cylinder Ford Ranger?

Answer:
Some ford 4 cyls don't have a timing belt but if your s has one it should be changed at 60,000 miles. If you don't change it, {it doesn't matter if it is well maintained or not on this} it can strip and leave you stranded and on some engines bend valves etc. Bad news!
