Sometimes when I see or even hear about someone else's pain, pain will shoot down my legs. It is random and very uncomfortable. Is this "sympathy pains" or what?

Answer:
It's psychological pain. It's similar to what survivors of war feel when they get their foot or leg cut off, but they still feel sensation or itching on the leg. It's all about the power of suggestion. When someone tells you that their in pain, especially when you're close to them, you will try to empathize with them, then you in a sense, feel their pain. Twins are found to be more sensitive to the other's pain. So, whatever the reason, the pain should diminish in time.
