I OWN A 1985 FORD RANGER- 4CYL.2.3L EFI.THE OTHER DAY,THE IDLE STARTED RACING AND HASN'T CHANGED.COULD IT BE THE IDOL SENSOR,OR SOME OTHER SENSOR? IF SO,WHERE'S IT LOCATED? I NEED HELP BAD! THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Try your Idle Air Control motor sitting on top, just tap it and see if there is a change, if so that is definately the problem, if there is now change unplug it and see if there is any change, if so again this is your problem. it's common for them to stick on fords. Hope this helps
