What seems to you a emergency?

My fiance will text his ex wife sometimes at 11pm at night and then tell me it is about the kids. I ask if it was an emergency and he replies that it isn't. This seems inappropriate to me and is disrespectful to me. I also get upset when he tells me that

It's hard. My Girlfriend & her ex call, but only about their child who is with me. The father never gives her money so they fight all the time. But your situation is different; when my girlfriend talks with her ex she has me stay in the same room, but yours leaves. I would ask him again and just have him tell you what is really going on. You deserve better than lies & manipulation.
