    If the compressor is in the path of the belts you will need to remove it. If it is outside the path you can simply replace the belt with a smaller belt. Serpentine belts are sized by their number of grooves and length. For example: a 50.5" circumference belt with 6 grooves wwould be : 6K505 or a variation of that. Take a wire and run it along the new belt path to get a idea for the length and count the grooves. Good luck! Answer You would have to get a shorter belt. Why do you want to bypass it? Just unplug the compressor clutch or pull the fuse and use as is. The clutch will not engage and there will be no drag on the engine.
