How do I get help to live in America and be an American citizen?

I am an Australian citizen living on a 90 days visa entry in America. I live with my American boyfriend and we want to get married. What is needed for me to stay in America as his wife, I would like to keep my citizenship and live in America

  • Answer:

Go to any Federal Buildng and apply for a fiance Visa. You shouldn't run into any opposition as long as you are not seeking employment. Wise choice. You're way too new to consider changing citizenship. Hope you take the added advice. Keep the relationship for a year before you marry. I have known of many similar cases where the marriage didn't work, they divorced and the result the foreign party was sent home. With the Fiance visa, if things don't work, you are given more time to find someone else. Welcome to the United States. Please don't lose the Australian accent.

Get the fiance Visa and you will be fine. You can keep your Australian citizenship no issues there. I hold a dual citizenship and nobody questions it. Hey, My ex wife is from Honduras our son has 3 passports. LOL!! Good luck to you both

If you want to stay in the U.S. see an immigration attorney who can assist you with the process.
