Which system of hdtv should i get?

Hi I have a lg 32" hdtv, I purchased a 2.1 speeaker and woofer system, unfortunatley i cat get any sound , all cables run from the back of the woofer box (all cables are jacks) i use a hdmi cable but no hdmi cable slot , and no sound thru jac cables

  o.k... there's no hdmi connection... then you'll have to use rca... sorry, with everything turned off... what you're going to do is connect the rca cables to the speaker out on the tv... to the input on the amp itself... you can use tv... vcr... dvd... ect... what ever... the choice is yours... now... turn everything on... barely turn the volume up on the amp... check for sound... you have sound... good... glad to hear that. no sound... that's fine... o.k... don't worry... on the tv... go into the sound menu... select the external speakers... and exit... check sound... you have sound now... good. still ne sound... o.k... go into the sound menu... go to the next option in the sound settings and try it... if it still doesn't work after tring all the settings... then i want you to email me and give me the model # off the tv so i can read the manual... and i'll get back to you on where to go from there... o.k.
