Is international adoption a simple procedure?

After my car geo prism 1997 model been standing outdoors for a year; I now want to start it , It has done 125000miles and been running smooth. If any body knows of starting a car after 6 to 9 months kindly advise on stepwise procedure adoption to start

    Do Not Start the car.... check two things first..1) check your oil filter and make sure there is no condensation or water build up from moisture that may have collected over time..moisture is very very very bad for an engine. 2) check your fuel/water seperator for the same thing....if these check out then go ahead and start it up but keep it at idle for 10 minutes to cycle the oil and lubricate the engine. if you have a pump on your oil filter pump it about 10 times to get things going. if you notice a milky white substance in your fuel or in your oil then you have water contamination and your looking at putting a hurtin' on your ride.

If it's been a while but you didn't notice any problems with it before you stopped driving it, then it should start fine. You probably will have to jump start it though. If you continually have to jump start your car (more than twice before it will start on it's own) you should get a new battery. You should also take it into an auto shop that you trust so they can give it a check-up.
