When I went to the mall I JUST realized how many guys actually go shopping with their girlfriends, waiting for them outside the fitting rooms, following them around. Guys, do you actually like doing this? Or would you rather be else where?

WE hate it and hope you realize that so you can recipricate later.

My husband would rather be water-boarded than enter a retail establishment other than Best Buy - and even THEN it is only to acquire the ONE item he has in mind, and then to leave.

Just today at an outside mall, I waited in the car. I refused to go in and watch her try on 10 blouses, only to not purchase any and buy the first skirt she sees. I invested 16 years of sitting outside changing rooms in the "guy" chair. I have held purses and been a pack mule. No more.

I used to really dislike it - I wouldn't mind so much if it was for a short while, or if we were doing other things too, but after an amount of time I'd feel really tired and really lethargic.

one day my wife went into lane bryant and I went next door to gamestop...after 45 minutes I went to see what was taking so long and she hadn't picked out a thing. in 15 seconds I found a skirt and told her to try it on. she resisted and spent another 15 minutes looking at things untill the store atendant came ofer and offered to help. she went straight to the very skirt I had picked and after my wife tried it on we bought it. this has happened 3 times... would have likely happened more but in our 5 years together we have only been able to afford something nice 3 times.

My husband LOVES shopping with me. (although I prefer to shop alone) He likes to bring me beautiful clothing and will hunt down a pair a shoes until he finds the perfect size and look. I'm the one whining to go home. But as he told me, "if you look good, it makes me look good!" So...he can follow me around as much as he wants.

There are many guys that would rather be somewhere else. I for 1 do not like going out to look at dresses, and panties when I was just going to the mall for a tee shirt and some slippers. When it becomes a window shopping spree for the lady that is when it becomes boring for the sucker, I meant guy. What happens is, it really feels like you have been trapped to go shopping if it is not planned to window shop. If you have an understanding that you are going to get 1 thing before you go somewhere, then there should not be a problem with the guy going in the store and looking around for a sec having compromised. But, When there is not then it becomes, oh brother she is looking at another dress, when will it end? I would not have a problem If I knew what I was in for prior to going. But, when it turns into an undiscussed event then we are going to have problems. There must be communication between each other, or thy guy will always be on the losing end of this one unless he is going into the changing room everytime his lady tries something on at victorias secret ;) So the answer to you question. I do actually like going when I know what is going on. The answer to your other question is, 9 times out of 10, if I did not know what was going on, I would rather be somewhere else, like best buy, circut city, or the nearest yamaha or kawasaki motorcycle dealership.
