Do you see any grammar errors in this paragraph? I have checked it over and over ... I need another opinion.

I passed on your comment to our lawyer and for the reasons mentioned below, he states we can't use the Feb.1'09 date however he does give a compromise solution

The one childhood memory that first comes to mind is of my Uncle Bobby’s accident. It was a warm, sunny day in Florida, and school was out. I was walking to my uncle’s house from my friend Mary’s, when I heard sirens and then saw an ambulance speeding by me. I thought to myself “that ambulance is going right towards my uncle’s house”. As I watched them pull into his driveway, I began to panic. My heart was racing as I started to run towards them. I could feel the sweat running down my face. With a horrified look on my face, I saw him lying on the ground, face down in the dirt. As the salty tears ran down my cheeks, I watched the paramedics lift him into the ambulance. He lived on the third floor of an apartment building and the railings were not at the legal height. My Aunt Cookie said he was grilling and someone said something that made him laugh and he lost his balance and fell backwards off the balcony. I can still see him lying there to this day. He lived through this tragedy, being paralyzed from the chest down. That day helps me to remember that life is very precious and fragile.
