Me and my bf plan to get married I live in the united States and he lives in Canada. We want to get married in Canada and want to know what has to happen to get dual residency and get married as soon as possible. eloping is an option but how to do that.

I think you and your boyfriend need to first consider exactly where you want to be a resident. Dual residency is going to be nearly impossible to maintain and will be very costly as you will be responsible for taxes in each resident country and the travel involved to maintain presence and a home in each country. Unless you have an unlimited money supply, you should consider a legal residence in one country or the other and visit the other country as you like. Good luck.
