We had a lightening storm and now the color on the TV set is all funky. When watching regular television (digital cable) colors seem to be flat and leaning to green. When going to vido screen (like for Xbox) screen is now red on the sides instead of blue

Answer:
It sounds like your picture tube needs degaussing. There may be a function in the controls for this somewhere, if not you should contact a technician. Basically, there are electrical charges stored on the underside of the screen which are messing with the electron beams. I'm assuming you have one of the older glass screens (a CRT) rather than a flat-panel plasma or LCD.
