How come my Verizon internet is slow?

VERIZON IS MY DSL PROVIDER,HOW COME THEY CAN'T RESOLVE MY COMPUTER PROBLEMS: CAN NOT GET ONTO THE INTERNET BECAUSE OF THE 1-2 YEAR OLD PARENTAL CONNTROL PUT IN, THE PASSWORD WON'T WORK ANYMORE AND I CAN'T EVEN DELETE OR REMOVE ANY PROGRAM TO GET RID OF

  Levibill, Is the password for the Verizon Parental conrol or is it the content control setting in Internet Explorer If the password is for the Verizon Internet Security Suite, see if you can go to another computer and access this Knowledgebase article http://kb.verizon.freedom.net/index.php?Frame=1&ToDo=view&catId=33&questId=196 This article talks about downloading a software file that will enable you to delete the file that holds the forgotten password.
