Is working in the oncology(cancer) unit as a nurse depressing? Do you know someone or have you personally worked in this unit and if so what was it like?

Answer:
Working as a nurse is depressing. Seeing death and dyiong on a constant daily basis has a tendency to make you depressed. Not only is it depressing to see all the sadness from the disease, but you potentially expose yourself to dangerous drugs that could and have resulted in nurses being afflicted with cancers as a result. Some chemotherapeutic drugs are quite toxic. Are they really sure all cancers are not cntagious? Food for thought.
