Having installed Windows service pack 3, I have lost all my bookmarks in firefox - even the ones that I had imported from Explorer, which I used to use (cant even see these in Explorer). No backups of the relevant folders. Any way I can recover them?

Answer:
Firefox stores the bookmarks a hidden folder heirarchy. . C:/ Documents and Settings / yourname / (Application Data )/ Mozilla/ Firefox/ Profiles/ yadayada.something . Application Data is the hidden folder. . It's possible, but not likely, that an old copy of your profile is in that Application Data folder. It would be named bookmarks.html. . Good luck. .
