I live in Florida and we are about to get 5-15 inches of rain from Tropical Storm Fay(today or tomorrow). My lawn care company just came out this morning and applied fertilizer/weed killer....did I just waste 60 bucks?

Answer:
Weed killer probably not but depending the type fertilizer maybe. If both were liquids then it will have been absorbed into the plants by the time the rain starts. If they show up next time before a storm of such magnitude tell them to come back later. mr Bill

You pay for the service as a whole. You have to decide the value as a whole. You could have them come over à la carte but it would cost you much more for each visit so no, you probably saved money by having the service instead of paying for them to come at optimal times.
