How can I get my background settings back?

All of the sudden, in my display properties window, there is no longer a tab for "background." It only has "themes," "appearance," and "settings." Is there a way to get the "background" tab back, because I'd like to center my background image, etc.

    Great question! If you're logged in as Administrator or a user with Administrative rights, you can fix this! Click Start, Run and type: regedit Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem If there is a DWoRD Value such "NoDispBackgroundPage" with a data value of 1 this will disable the screen saver tab. Change the value to 0 or delete it to see the tab again. You may have to reboot!
