I need help . im 18 and weigh 155 and im 5'7 i just bought a weight bench put i dont know how much i can lift. i mean ive only lifted 15 pounds dumbells so thats not much.i mean im not a pro at lifting but its something i want to do i mean im not a weak a

    You don't have to find out the max you can lift right away. It's better to learn the proper way to do the lifting for each exercise you do then gradually increase the weight. If you don't have anyone to ask in person about exercises, then look up something like "beginner weight lifting routine" into Google for some good ideas. Finally, good for you! If you get used to doing this, you will find yourself actually looking forward to it and you'll be surprised how much more often you are in a better mood.

First, slow down killer! Nobody got built overnight. It's going to take time and a lot of reps. I was personally embarassed the first time I got back in the gym because of how weak I thought I was. But the huge dudes were there once too. Check out bodybuilding.com, they have a teen workout program and some good how to's.

How about using common sense and lifting only that which feels comfortable and safe? Then, you can start increasing the weight safely

ok so if you want to build up you need to start light and move up each week, google a program called stronglifts 5x5 it might be good for you, or talk to a trainer at the gym

i started when i was 16 or so at 140 lbs 5.6 i lifted alot ate more and since then im 17 now ive put 1 1/2 inches on both arms same for my calfs and about and inch to my forearms alot to my core and im at 172 pounds when i lean up 175-178 when im just lifting. only in time bro
