Is india the best country to visit for a spiritually minded holiday. Or have you knowledge of other places too?

I did that very thing years ago. It is best to join a spiritual group of some kind that is visiting a well known saint. That would be the best way to do it. India is so vast, there would be very little chance of you finding something worthwhile on your own. Connect yourself with people who know where to go... otherwise you are just another tourist. At the very least, do online research to locate the saint you want to visit.

I guess it would depend on what spiritual path you follow.
