Options for higher studies abroad.

My GF wants to get married to me secretly before she goes abroad for 3 yrs for further studies. What options do i have? We love eachother.

    You...um...have the option to say "no." I just met a young guy getting ready to go away to Iraq. He told me something so smart. I am his mother's age. And as all us old broads will do, I was bugging him about girlfriends. I was actually kinda worried. He has been in the service since he left high school and he's 25. When do you DATE? I said. He: I am going off to Iraq in October. How would it make sense for me to date. Most of the people my age are young and out for fun. Why should I date someone and leave her back here for two years? Two years from now we might both be different people entirely. Duh. I agree. How could I have been so stupid. I'm twice as old as him, yet he seems twice as smart as me!

Hi Whitehair, Thnx for the quick reply!!! We truly love eachother. We have been together for almost 5 months. She was not willing to commit me for 2 months due to family ristrictions. She commited me and says she will convince her parnets but wont get married to anyone else other me. I truly love her. Cheers, Champ

Marriage is not a game. You have to ask yourself whether you can stay connected to her heart for 3 years of absence and whether you would almost get sick over worries about her being true to you. I would tell her we both can wait....
