What can a switchboard in access do and not do?

Hello, How can I put a search box field on a switchboard that will look up fields in 4 different tables? Please submit answers with extreme easy step by step guidelines as I am a newbie to Access 2003! Thanks Aaron

A switchboard is intended to be the front end of your application, so that all the nasty tables and queries, etc are kept out of the sight of your users, so I don't think putting search boxes onto it is a very good idea. I would suggest that you have a form that you can open from the switchboard. Use a wizard to make the form and put each of the four tables into the form and it will almost certainly organise itself as a form with subforms, so you could then put the relevant search button or combo box into each section of the form.
