Should everyone's vote be weighted equally (mob rule form of democracy) or should votes be weighted based on your investment, or lack thereof, into the country? Shareholders vote based on the equity in the company they own, should we get weighted on tax?

Answer:
That's an interesting question. Should a high school student at age 18, who earns no money and lives at his parent's home have the same power of vote as someone in their 50s, whose contributed to society through taxes and charity for years, has held a job and perhaps owns a company or two? It doesn't seem right, as the 2nd person has contributed more, has more experience and is less easily fooled, however that's the way our current system is set up. It's probably why we have so many jackasses in politics.

An interesting fact: The United States Constitution does not guarantee every citizen the "right" to vote in national elections. The ability to vote is a "privilege". People should be allowed to vote based on their education and contribution to society.
