What kind of pay would i get?

I have a 2003 Ford Ranger; can anyone tell me what are the advantages and disadvantages of getting a lift kit for it. And if i decide to get one what is the best kind to get? And what would I be looking to pay?

  • Answer:

if you are going to use it primarly for off road use then yes, if you will be on the road 70% of the time or more, no. Follow this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c69G2t9u7ak This is what nice big tire does on the road, your wheel bearing and hub will be shot in half the mileage of norm. and you also have to consider the fact that you are changing the entire geometry of the truck, it will be more prone to rollover for example. The only advantage i see is it will look better on the road, but it will be worse in every other way. i can't decide for you,but i wouldn't do it personaly. as far as cost it depends on how high you want to go, if you do it look for a well contructed kit with 'all around welds' and solid, not 'boxed' parts
