My car amplifier not working in my car.

Car audio amplifier[starsoundsound 400w 2channel]stopped working from one minute to the next.it does have one light[red]which does flash,or dim.which to me indicates its on,but no sound from subwoofer why?

    I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY ROCKFORD AMP IT TURNED OUT BEING THAT THE BOLT HOLDING MY POWER WIRE UNDER THE HOOD HAD COME LOSE SO IT WAS CAUSING THE THE CONNECTION TO WABBLE A BIT AND I LOST POWER FROM TIME TO TIME HENSE THE LIGHT TO DIM COULD BE THE SAME PROBLEM IT MIGHT NOT, HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL
