  • Answer:

"Change display settings To take advantage of the detail of the maps in MapPoint, the color and screen resolution settings should be set at the highest possible level supported by your monitor. The minimum color setting is 256 colors; higher color settings provide optimal results. Click the Start button . Click Control Panel. (If your computer is running a version of the Microsoft® Windows® operating system other than Windows XP, click Settings, and then click Control Panel.) Double-click Display, and then click the Settings tab. Under Color Quality, adjust the settings that you want. (Colors in operating systems earlier than Windows XP) Under Screen Resolution, adjust the settings that you want. (Screen Area in operating systems earlier than Windows XP.) Click OK. Note You may need a lower Screen Resolution or Screen Area setting to accommodate the minimum setting of 256 colors." If you have a lower screen resolution, you will have to scroll to get part of the picture. - a particular computer has its maximal screen resolution. You will not be able to use a higher one.
