When making a cup of tea using a tea bag should you put the milk in first along with the bag and then add the water? or put the bag in the cup and then add the water, only putting the milk in when the tea has brewed?

The water has to go in first (after the teabag, of course)! Don't put the milk in too early. Add the boiling water to the cup and gently stir it. Then leave it to stand and brew for a while. It depends how strong you like your tea; judge it by the colour of the tea. I tend to leave it to brew for about 3-4 minutes. Finally, stir the tea a bit, squeeze the tea bag against the side of the cup using the spoon and take it out. Add milk to taste. Oooh, I could kill for a brew now.

I drink my tea straight...better that way I think. Why ruin the taste with milk or sugar or any of that other stuff people put in tea...hot or cold.

Never put the milk in first because the water needs to be hot, hot, hot. The more oxygen in the water the better and when it is boiling that is when the water is most oxygenated. You get more flavour out of the tea bag. I pour boiling water onto the teabag. Stir the tea bag clockwise for 30 seconds, leave it till it stops, then stir anticlockwise for 30 seconds, leave it till it stops. Put the milk in, give the teabag a good squeeze. Plop the teabag in the bin, and slurp that tea down baby! Slurp, Aah!

i always put the milk in last it makes a much better tasting cuppa same as you would make it in a pot.

None of the above. Never, ever, make tea in a cup unless you have no other option. Always use a teapot.
