Any lawyers willing to take a medical malpractice case? I can't freakin find one.

If the payoff isn't big enough, it's not worth your time (or an attorney's time if they're working on a contingency basis) to pursue the case. 2. The cost of proving malpractice may be prohibitive. If you file suit, you have to prove the doctor's actions were negligent. That means hiring medical experts to review the medical records, give depositions and potentially testify at trial. That all costs money - and depending on the particular specialist required, it may costs thousands and thousands of dollars. 3. The attorneys you've spoken to may not think you have a viable case. If, in their opinion, you do not have a chance of succeeding, why take a case that's likely to be a loser? Remember - you (or your attorney) will be paying up front for all legal fees, including filing costs, attorney fees, expert review, etc. If you have little chance to win or recover money damages to cover the expense of a lawsuit, why pursue the case.
