What risks do I have to consider when encrypting server side as opposed to client-side?

Consider in the feudal wars, the opposed side's army is under siege in a fortress with your army surrounding them. You wish to capture most of them alive. What would be the most effective measure in doing so?

  • Answer:

Well, they're already captured in effect, and still alive, so the trick is to just keep them there. So I'd think I'd pile a small mountain of rock in fron of the gates, and then leave enough archers around the place to shoot anyone climbing over the wall. If that's not an option, I'd just do the time tested method: offer to make the commander my vassal and lord of the place if he turns coat. The only problem is chivalry demands I give him 30 days to give his boss 30 days to get a "relieving" army within 1 mile of the walls, and if the head honcho doesn't do the deed, the commander can surrender/defect "with honor".
