I have a lot of things that have to do with my ex. She broke up with me two months ago and I am still trying to get over her. I was cleaning out my closet and found a box that I keep all of our stuff together in, do I throw away the things?

Answer:
I think you should stick them back in the box, and put it in the far end of the basement, behind your summer clothes and winter decorations. You might pull them out in a few years, forgetting you had them. The pain will be gone, but you'll have some great memories of someone you cared so much for.

"Our" stuff? Do YOU want it? If not, ask her if SHE wants them. If not, try donating anything that might be of any value to GOODWILL, or the SALVATION ARMY. Maybe someone else can make good use of the stuff. No sense hanging onto items that won't do you or the EX- any good!!! (Personally, I could never see the logic in hanging unto items that remind me of the more unpleasant times in my life!!!)

no-think about it, your ex contributed to who you are today. I would keep them BUT somewhere that you can continue to weigh out the good and bad feelings that you feel. Sometimes it can be downright terrible going through so many emotions never knowing what feeling you will have throughout the day: hurt, sadness, pain, jealousy that they found someone else, anger because it wasn't you, happy beause you survived another day with out her. Pictures and other items are funny like that. They forever capture our happiest moments-who ever takes pictures of their ex when they were cheating or hurting us in an arguement over nothing or when they decided to break it off. Throw away the desire to be with someone that didn't choose you. Keep the memories of what she taught you NOT to want in the future. I wish you the best;)

i would kee the things for a lil while until your sure your over her becasue if you two do end up getting back togeth you'll regret throwing them out or if you super broken up inside the things can help you cope till it gets easier.
